The thing with cheap Chinese carbon frames is the way you start doubting yourself immediately after you have placed your order. Your mind just starts to play tricks on you. You read old rants on the discussion forums about broken carbon frames and get worried about what you are getting into. After all the last thing you want to do is to face plant on the first sportive and spend the rest of your life cast in plaster or worse. I suppose to some extent the same thing would happen if you had to wait for custom order a brand-name carbon frame, but you just know how you would be kicking yourself if the frame ends up failing spectacularly or even if you just can’t put it together. The fact is you have taken the leap and there is no going back. Nothing else to do, but enjoy the ride.
